The same is happening to me. The website is under maintenance mode so I can't share it yet.

Can I see some example of the video thumbnail working good? Should it start only when hover on it?

On my temporary testing page you can see the video-thumbnail working well on autoplay:
http://www.laytheme.mariusjopen.com/

It starts when it is loaded. Not on hover.

As I said, the website is under maintenance mode so even if I share it, you won't be able to see it unless I give you access to WP. I sent you an email.

This is kind of weird too. If I don't have a Project Thumbnail (.jpg) it doesn't allow me to update or publish the project, even if I have a Project Thumbnail Video (.mp4).

yes u always need a project thumbnail, regardless of whether u use a video or not

i solved the video problem on your page and updated your website with the fix. the fix will be released for others with the next update :))

Thank you very much! As a recommendation for future updates, the client is asking for pause the autoplay when the mouse is not over.
