    Hi everyone

I'm having trouble running the CampTix plugin using the lay theme. Every installation step of CampTix has been followed carefully, but I always get: "An error has occurred" on my page.

So I wonder if Lay does not support CampTix?

Can i fix this? A similar problem seems to occur here. The developer of Camptix answers:

A tech description of the above is the following. The shortcode doesn't operate by itself, it relies on a function hooked to template_redirect which executes before the shortcode content is shown. If it has not executed, the "An error has occurred." message is shown instead, meaning the $camptix->template_redirect() method is bailing, probably at the very beginning.

Can anyone help me figuring out how to make the plugin work? It's a bit of an emergency.

    Thanks a lot!!!

      Hi K-ef,

most likely CampTix uses a php template to display the content.

Laytheme is coded as a singe-page Javascript-Application. This means that it does not use php templates in the normal way.

Because of that it is not possible to use own template pages or plugins which use their own template pages. (Woo Commerce, CampTix, etc).

If you want to use CampTix with the LayTheme. I can recommend a normal Wordpress installation with the LayGridder. This is the closest you can get.

I will write that down for the future,

If you really need to use CampTix – we can give you the money back which you payed for LayTheme.

      Best!

      Marius

I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.

      Before you post:
      1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
      2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
      3. Disable all Plugins
      4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

      When you post:
      1. Post a link to where the problem is
      2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
      3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
