How can I link to an anchor point on another page?

I'm stuck at something that I think it's probably fixed by now but I can't seem to figure it out.

I have added an anchor link to a part of my page that's on the top menu. it works fine on the very page but not anymore if i click the link from another page as the anchor is only on my home.

I tried linking the full url: “http://elenagallen.com/home/#mythumbs” but it doesn’t work.
Neither it does linking the url: "/home/#mythumbs" to indicate that the link is within my domain, as it normally would have worked with html pages.

My website is www.elenagallen.com and it's happening with the anchor on the Selected Works link on the top menu when I click it from profile page.

Any easy way to fix this?

@mariusjopen hi marius, i did but i don't seem to get it. should i add a js code to allow the anchor to work from a different page? if so, what is this code?

Hi @harrietbrown !

It get a bit tricky when you try to use the normal navigation with anchor links.

Have a look at my last post here. That works for sure:
