Social Links in footer

Thanks for this great theme, im currents setting up my page and love it so far.

I would like to add some links to social platforms in my footer.
I did try the recommended plugin "social links" but that is not longer working with the current Wordpress. So i tried the plugin: "easy social icons" but if i want to enter the shortcode([cn-social-icon]) via the +shortcode button in the footer nothings shows up.
The Plugin is set up and everything.
Any suggestions here, or any other way to insert some social links to the footer.
(tired via html as well but with no luck)

found out its a safari problem. Unfortunately they don't show up there.
Do you have any fix for that? Maybe its a genera thing, im aware that u did not program that plugin im using.
