Hi. Thanks for the wonderful theme.

I am curious if there is a way to add “full-size” images to a project page. When adding an image to a page, most other WP themes give the option to add the “full-size” image. This ensures that the image you’re adding is of its original quality.

I’ve never had an issue with WP affecting the color of my images, but all of the images I add to a project using the Lay theme are becoming desaturated.

As a test, I switched my theme to WP Twenty Fifteen, uploaded a set of images, then switched back to Lay. I then placed the images into a Lay project page and they looked good. Then I uploaded the same images using the Lay theme and added them to the same project page (side by side). The newly uploaded images were desaturated, but the images uploaded using Twenty Fifteen were still good.

I tried using various WP plugins that disable the WP compression but still am having this issue because there is no way to simply upload my full-size images with this theme.

      Hey!

Yeah Lay Theme uses Wordpress' built in image resizing to create multiple versions of an image, to only load the fitting size of the image. I guess the resizing does change the colors of the image a bit.
Right now there's no way to do what you want but I might add that as an option.

Hey, can you try this plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/imagemagick-engine/
        Maybe that solves the issue.

Thanks for the response. I apologize. I realized the issue was not with WP or Lay. The sRGB color profile seemed to be dropping out when the images got compressed. I just needed to re-save images so that the sRGB profile is maintained. Apologies again!
