I've been trying to get this theme to work properly but so far no succes. The projects that I make are displayed as a thumbnail on the homepage but when you click on them they don't show the contents of the project. It does go to the URL of the project (e.g. mywebsite.com/project-1/), but doesn't show anything inside. If I make a page (e.g. mywebsite.com/page-1/) with the exact same contents as the project, it does show everything.

I've been looking at the troubleshooting information, but disabling mod_security is something that I can't do myself, and my hosting provider strongly advises against it. It is protection for a reason. Also, I am not sure if it is a mod_security problem, since the project URL isn't blocked, but it just doesn't show any content.

Any help with this would be appreciated, otherwise I have to figure out some massive workaround where I have to make separate pages for all the projects and manually put in thumbnails that I link to those pages... And that would kind of beat the purpose of this easy-to-use theme.

      Best regards,

      LB.

Hey. I'm also having exactly the same problem. The link goes to a page but the images don't appear. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can your webhost whitelist URLs like /wp-json/wp/v2/posts/<id> ?

They don't need to disable mod_security but maybe they can whitelist URLs like that which means creating an exception.

Really sorry about this. It is a wordpress related problem. I can give you a refund if you cannot make it work. Just write an email to info@laytheme.com and let me know the email address you used to purchase lay theme.

Hi Armin, I contacted Green Geeks with your suggested request and they replied the follwing:

              hi,

Sorry but the path can't be whitelisted.
Please provide us with the step-by-step instruction how can we test the issue from our end to we investigate what rule caused the issue.

              Can you help with that?

I'm having that problem, too. Everything is updated, permalinks freshly set, but when you click on any of the thumbnails at the home page (franziskaebert.de), nothing appears. The "About" Page works fine.
I hope there is a simple solution soon, a job offer is depending on this.

Sorry, going to remove greengeeks from the list of hosts that I recommend. :///

This is what you can write to support@greengeeks.com :

                  Hello,

I'm using a WordPress theme that uses the WordPress REST API to get content.

Some of my content does not show up because URLs like these http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/30 return a 403 error.

This is likely a mod_security issue.

Endpoints like "/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/30" are standard wordpress rest api endpoints as you can see here: https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/reference/posts/

Could you whitelist endpoints like that for mod_security please?

                  Have a great day :)

                    @franziska

You can show them the URL
                    http://franziskaebert.de/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/1

And @sk what is your website address?

Maybe you can send them the same URL with just your domain in place.

                    Before you post

Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.

                    1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
                    2. Disable all Plugins
                    3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
                    4. Now see if your problem solved itself
                    5. Go here, see if your problem is listed here:
                    Troubleshooting

                    When you post:
                    1. Post a link to where the problem is
                    2. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it

                    Thanks!
