Visual index / Carousel addon
-
hello dear Armin,
thanks for the super fantastic design.
I love it.Before buying your lay carousel, I have
a question regarding the theme.//
For my site, I want to show all my current pictures ( not only just the Thumbnails of the Projects )
lets say 30 pictures as a visual index on the main page.
Therefore I don#t need different projects with their own thumbnails.Just all 30 pictures shown in a masonry grid, individually created with your grid system.
When I click on one of the pictures, the slideshow carousel will open &
will show the image in a bigger size with a caption. As I am not a programmer...Here is a example page, in case my description was not clear enough ;-)
http://marcussmithphoto.com/currentlyWhat i wanted to know,
is that possible with the lay theme?
I wonder how that could work.
What can you recommend.Merci & Thanks in advance &
hope to hear from you soon.Kim

Hey Kim! Thanks!
I think what you want to do is possible with the lightbox addon. But the lightbox addon doesn't have captions.
Hm, a masonry-style layout is not so easy to do with lay theme. -
Dear Armin,
Thanks for your quick answer &
yes, the Addon Lightbox might work!
Yay!!Before i start creating the site:
-
is it possible to do an individual picture grid for the main page pictures?
With more white space between the images?
The Addon Lightbox example on your website doesn't really look like it. -
Also, Is there any, tiny possibility to add captions to the images in the Lightbox?
Similar to in the carousel Addon?
Is that possible with css? Or do I need proper php programming skills do change that?
Thanks again for your time.
As a designer its a pleasure
to work with your theme. All the best, Kim

Hey Kim!
Yes you can create a grid with whitespace between the images. The example page is just a site where the designer chose to not use whitespace. Also, Is there any, tiny possibility to add captions to the images in the Lightbox?
Similar to in the carousel Addon? No :/
Hm, I think I should code that as a feature for the lightbox in the future. I can't tell you when I'm gonna do that. Thanks for your kind words :)
