Hey, this is currently not possible, but that's a feature that I want to add one day

Hey there,
thinking about buying the addon.
Is it still not possible to add any caption to the lightbox images?
Or even to the overview pictures?The example website jessica-willis.com doesn't look like
adding a caption / text is an option.Thanks for your help.
Cheers!! -
Hey kim! Captions for lightbox is definitely a feature that i'm going to add. Right now im working on a freelance project with a very tight deadline, so it may take a month or more until i have time to add the caption feature :/
You can add captions to images yes. There is a button "edit caption" in the toolbar of the gridder. But these captions will only show up on the page, not in the lightbox.

Yes it will come as an update, so if you buy that now, one day in the wordpress backend it will say "update available" for that plugin and then you can update from within the wordpress backend.

Hey!
I just updated the lightbox and now it can do captions. You need to update Lay Theme too to make this work. This is the news from laytheme.com:Captions for Lightbox 1.2.0 Update
21 March 2016If you update Lightbox to 1.2.0 and Lay Theme to 1.6.8 you can have captions for your Lightbox! Just right click an image in the Gridder and choose "Edit Lightbox Caption".
Here are more changes:
Fixed opening animation bug
Fixed in some cases image staying there when closing
Option "Sliding Duration"
Option "Space Between Image and Caption"
Option "Minimum Space below Image for Captions (only applies if image has caption)"
Option "Space Around Image" in px replaces option "Image Size"
Lightbox can now be activated for categories tooIf you find any bugs or if you have questions please let me know in the forum.

@arminunruh
I have a suggestion regarding captions: would it be possible to always show the captions under the image on the mobile view? at the moment they can't actually be accessed on the mobile view ... so viewers wouldn't be able to read the captions there at all. this tweak would actually make a lot of sense for my purposes :) -
Hey em, yea hmm :D good point. You could add normal captions to your images with the "edit caption" button of the gridder. Then in "lay options" -> "custom css" -> "Custom CSS for Desktop Version" you could add:
. caption{ display: none; }

Hello,
I'm having a problem in changing the Lightbox Caption of an image inside an Element Gridder.
When I click on "Edit Lightbox Caption", the page preview disappears and I am left with an empty window like you can see in this screenshot.
Is it a bug? or what am I doing wrong? -
Dear @SHomb

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
