Vertical line for one page

Hei guys. I would like to have a vertical line which splits the Browser in two parts – only for desktop –
I tried with a picture but doesn't look really good. Is there a possibility to code it?

you can make this with custom HTML and custom CSS.

.line {
position: fixed;
width: 2px;
height: 100vh;
left: 50vw;
background: black;
}

I wrote that from my head and did not test it – but this is the way to go :-)
