    Hey,

    I tried to contact Armin directly but he will be on holidays until March 21st.
    So I am hoping that someone else can help me with this sooner than that.

    Here is my problem:

    A few days ago I updated wordpress for a webpage I built with Lay Theme a while back.
    This resulted in the webpage and the wp-admin area only showing a white screen.
    I deactivated laytheme via the FTP. That made it possible to log into the admin area again. But as soon as I activate laytheme everything turns white again.
    This makes it impossible for me to update laytheme, which I hope would solve the problem.
    Is there another way for me to update laytheme?
    Or some other way to fix this?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Benni

      Is the laytheme you installed the latest version? Can you delete it rather than just deactivate and install latest laythem/?

        Hi @benni
        I understand. That kind of stuff sucks. I know those problems very well…

        I would try to download the whole page on my local computer. Then run it with MAMP. Maybe you won't have those problems there and you can update Wordpress or Laytheme.
        Use Updraft Plus to download and migrate the page. In general it is a very good tool. I use it all the time.

        Let me know if that works!

        Best!

        Marius

        PS: Sorry, that I cannot give you a better advice. But I would try that first…

          Hey,
          thanks for your reply and sorry for my late reaction. I was in bed the last days due to the flue.

          @mariusjopen
          thanks for you advice! I already made an update using Updraft.
          Now I have to find out what MAMP is and how to work it :)

          @Ros_rgb
          No, I haven't tried that yet. I thought it might not be possible to reuse the same license key…? I really don't know a lot about that kind of stuff.

          Thanks again for your help!

          Benni

            @benni
            MAMP is pretty simple and straight forward:
