Prevent images on your website from appearing in Google search results
-
Hello there,
I noticed that Google search results is showing the images of my photo portfolio and I actually don't like this thing... So I looked around how can avoid this and I found this short Google 'how to'.
Here it is the part where I am interested in:
*To remove all the images on your site from our index, place the following robots.txt file in your server root:User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /*I just wanted to ask to the developers if this method will work with LT or if I will encounter some problems. And (btw) where I can find the robots.txt file?
Thanks in advance :)

Dear @melo_lenosier
we don't have that tested and can not tell you 100% if that will work or break anything.I believe it won't break anything.
You can give it a shot. Not sure how to get the robots.txt. I assume you just need to create the file. Better check yourself on Google.
Best!

i think in your FTP server you need to put it in your root folder
its the folder that contains the folders "wp-content" and "wp-admin"
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
