I totally agree - does anybody have a workaround for that problem? Usual wordpress plugins for spam protection does not work with lay theme.

I have the same problem. I usually use Email Address Encoder to encode email addresses – sadly this does not worl with Lay Theme. Did anybody figure out a workaround? Thanks! ±

i think this plugin might work if you go to lay options, then enable:

in the "other" section
