Insert/edit link not working

Thank you for the wonderful theme!
I'm trying to edit a link on my website, however, the "Insert/edit link" doesn't work.
I'd like to add a link and have it open in a new tab. The "Insert/edit link" doesn't respond when clicking on it.

Yes, both Laytheme and Wordpress are up-to-date running the latest versions.

The "insert/edit link" issue only occurs when adding text in the carousel plug-in and then trying to edit or add links.

Let me know what I can do.
