Hi Marius,
Thanks for the tips. I've tried both lazy-load and instaload, and I have tried compressing the images too. Still it takes forever to load the page, it's pretty much unusable in it's current state. The problem seems worse with Safari than with Chrome though. Any idea as to why?

Dear @olelovold
can you try to deactivate all the non-Lay plugins?Best!
Marius
Hi again! Yes, tried this too - still the same, unfortunately...

Hey,
Omg I see that sometimes the wrong version of an image is loaded.
Let me try to fix this and I will publish an update soon. -
Ok, so the right images were loaded, but yeah it is really slow because all images inside a lightbox are preloaded.
I just released an update for the lightbox plugin!
Please update your lightbox plugin. Now go to "lay options" -> "lightbox addon" and disable "Preload Images in Lightbox" -
Hi guys, thanks for trying to help.
In Safari, my pictures don't load at all. Using Chrome, the images do load, sporadically at first. Eventually all the pictures load, but it takes a while. So it's pretty unusable at the moment. I'm thinking I should just go back to the way I had the website before - big images (not using the lightbox plugin...), several pages with fewer pictures on each page.
