Update/WP-Backup
-
Hey Armin,
I haven't updated my Laytheme and Wordpress for a while. Now I wanted to do that but also wanted to save the database first, in case something goes wrong with the update.
I can't find your instructions on that anymore, even though I thought I had seen them somewhere the last time I exported the database. Are they still online?
Also I tried to install the WP Migrate DB plugin, but it doesn't work because (I think) the plugin folder already exists (which makes sense because I already installed the plugin a while back) but still I can't find the plugin anywhere.
Maybe you can help?
Thanks so much! -
If all this doesn’t work for you it’s always possible to backup your database via your hoster: Just use the phpMyAdmin backend to download a copy of the database.
But the easiest would be to just delete the WP Migrate DB plugin files from your webspace, reinstall it via the Wordpress backend and do the backup with the plugin.
Cheers!

Thank you! The thing is, I don't know how to delete the WP Migrate DB plugin files because I can't find them. They're not listed under tools or plugins. It's just when I install the plugin that it says, it's already there and can't install it again.
In case you know, could you tell me where I can deinstall them?
Thanks!!
