Two different background colors on one page (horizontal)

Hey,
I want to have two different background colors on one page, the horizontal way.
There are two text elements. The first element should be white typo with grey background.
The second element has grey typo and white background. I want to change the background color of the first element.
In the theme there is no option, so I need Custom CSS, right?Can anybody help me?

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options ā Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
