ERROR uploading photos in MEDIA LIBRARY : Post-processing of the image failed

Hi everyone,

since yesterday I can no longer import photos into the media library
I get the following error message:
"Post-processing of the image failed. If this is a photo or a large image, please scale it down to 2500 pixels and upload it again. "

I have already tried with images corresponding to the right resolution and widely below 2500px but I still get the error message.
I only manage to import ridiculously small images (30ko 200x133 for example) but it doesn't help me to use them.

do you have any thoughts?

hm interesting,

probably has to do with wordpress, not lay theme. i googled this and found:

seems it is a problem with wordpress 5.3

you can go back to the previous wordpress version using a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/ this could solve the issue

Hi — This can also happen with large image files. Try processing the image with a photo editor like Photoshop and re-uploading.
