Thumbnail Symbol and text within 'no transition' carousel

Hi everybody, I'm trying to build a portfolio site for my photography and have a two part question:
1.) I was wondering if it's possible when you are in the carousel transition type 'no transition' to have a little thumbnail symbol next to the numbers, so the viewer can easily, intuitive change between one single big photo a the thumbnail overview?2.) Also I wanted to know if someone knows if I can have a text in the carousel transition type 'no transition'. So, for example I could start a photo series with a photo, click to the next, where instead of a photo is a text regarding the series?

Before you post:
