Genius integration

Does anyone know if Lay theme works with Genius annotation? I'm trying to create something like this: http://genius.it/9623103/www.nbcnews.com/specials/donald-trump-republican-party?filter=annotator:SeanMcElwee
I've started by creating a project and installing the Genius Wordpress plug-in (available here: http://genius.com/web-annotator ), but whenever I try to turn the annotation "on" and save the project, the option is deselected when the page loads again. I'm wondering if its the because the plug-in is meant to work around the construct of "pages" rather than "projects."
Any thoughts or ideas for getting this to work with Lay theme?! Thanks so much in advance.

hey! probably it doesn't work cause a lay theme website is a single page javascript application :/

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
