Something strange happened with Lighbox + child theme question
-
Dear Armin,
After 2 of my websites had updated to Wordpress 5.4 the lightbox plugin stopped reacting.
I tried to downgrade to the previous versions of WP, but strangely it didn't help.I'm not using the latest Laytheme and Lightbox versions, but everything worked just fine until couple of days ago...
I would like to upgrade to the newest version of Laytheme, but I'm using a child-theme, which header and functions files don't work with the version...
Is it possible somehow update the child-theme so it will work with the newest version?
I don't want to switch from it, because then all the customization settings will get lost.....Thanks a lot,

you use the old lay theme version which is not compatible with the new lightbox version
if u enter your license key you can update lay theme
lay theme is not compatible with child themes and i dont do support for child themes
maybe this is important for you:

Thanks for the quick reaply, I got a license, I just couldn't update because the childish theme doesn't work with the new one, but you have already answered that! thanks.
Anyways, can I please ask you to send me the lightbox version, which is compatible with my current old version of the theme? (Version: 2.8.5)
Thanks a lot,
Sasha
