hey jd!
You could give your text a class and use css for example:.text-bg-blue{ background-color: blue; }
Please read http://laytheme.com/documentation.html#custom-css-styling "create a button style" which is kind of a bit similar at least the concept behind it.

Cool, thanks, I'll give it a go!

Hey Armin
Is there any way to make the background the same height as the other images in the Gridder row?
As you can see here (the test bit at the bottom) - http://v3.conductorstudio.com/
I want to have text block with a background colour that matches the height/width of the 2 images to the side of it.
No worries if its not possible.
Cheers

sry not so easy to do…
I don't answer or check forum DMs, please just post on the forum.
Before you post:
Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.
1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
2. Disable all Plugins
3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
4. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
Now see if your problem solved itself.
Go here, see if your problem is listed here:
Troubleshooting
When you post:
1. Post a link to where the problem is
2. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
