Update Bug on 3.0.5 ? Can't update ...
-
I recently purchased a lay theme license when it was at 3.0.5. I recently realized that it never notifies for an update.
I have another installation with another license where that also happens. After manually exchanging its version with the 3.0.5 by deleting and re-uploading /themes/lay. it does notify for an update, but shows an error when I try to.
When I load the themes page:
when I click "update now":
the other installation that doesn't even show the update-notification:
Could you provide a download link for the current version? (And for compatibility) old stable versions? So there is at least a manually accessible way to update...
For some reason I can't find 3.0.5 here: https://laytheme.com/version-history.html
What can I do to update to the current version?
I don't think it's a permissions problem since everything that can be 777, is 777. Ans the /wp-content/upgrade folder is being created by the updater.

Dear @thomasmaier
Best is if you write an email to info@laytheme.com and include a link to this conversation.
Many wishes!

Hey have you tried googling the error?
https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+the+update+cannot+be+installed+because+we+will+be+unable+to+copy+some+files&oq=wordpress+the+update+cannot+be+installed+because+we+will+be+unable+to+copy+some+files&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i64.2313j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8@mariusjopen that would have been great too if you would have googled that error
In your webhost control panel please see if you have a firewall activated on your server and disable it.
In case you haven't entered your license key and activated lay theme, there will be no update notification.im really not sure what could cause that error "the update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files"
i can send the latest lay theme version to you, it works pretty well.

This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:

- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
