Swipeable Carousel slides with scroll bar at bottom (like in Establishment NY website)

Hi there! I have Carousel on my website (https://betoruizalonso.com/) and everything works, but I can only drag the slides by actually clicking and dragging. I noticed that the Establishment site (http://establishmentnewyork.com/) has a different functionality. There you can drag the slides by swiping two fingers (Mac) which I find way nicer. I also noticed that Establishment's slides have a scroll bar at the bottom and that they don't move up and down but remained fixed in place while in my site the slides can be moved up an down and get out of frame. I reproduced this behaviour on Firefox and Safari.

I've tried to solve this for days and for the life of me I can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t really understand what you mean with the moving up and down… perhaps you mean the space below your Carousel?

That seems to be the frame you set in the gridder – If you remove the top and bottom frame on said page and set the row with the carousel to Use Browser Height for Row Height the vertical scroll should be gone.

For the carousel navigation, a horizontal scroll option isn’t available, yet (afaik).

You can configure how your carousel navigates (also use custom cursors!) in Lay Options → Carousel Addon → Mouse Cursor:

Thanks so much for your reply. Now that you mention horizontal scroll isn't available for carousel I'm suspecting the Establishment NY website (the one I'm trying to copy the functionality from) may not use Carousel at all and perhaps it's something else (they do use Lay Theme of course, as they are one of the examples that Armin gives on the front page.)

The video also shows how their site has a scroll bar along the bottom, something I would like and I don't get with my Carousel.

Regarding the up and down movement: This should easiliy be fixed as described in my last reply.

I inspected the Establishment NY site but I couldn’t find any trace that this site was built with Lay Theme; It doesn’t even seem to use Wordpress but something called DropPages instead. I guess the version before that was done with Lay Theme the current one isn’t.

Codewise they seem to use a flexbox which expands on the x-axis and therefore the scroll bar appears.

With the given CSS and some HTML you could code that yourself, but I assume that you might need to place the images via code/HTML-markup instead of using the gridder… I could be very wrong, though!

Perhaps someone else in the forum can help with achieving something similar with the carousel??

Hi @edgrbnz, thanks for looking into it! I guess they use something different now. Anyway, I'm quite happy with the Carousel add-on, I'm just 99% and was striving for 100% haha. But hey you solved my issue with the movement! I truly appreciate your time and help.
