      Hi Armin

I have purchased some webfonts to use on the site I am designing and it looks like I can't add the webfonts in the way you have set up. Is that correct or am I being stupid? Is there an alternative way to add the fonts that allows the Myfonts webfont kit to be uploaded?

Really enjoying using your fantastic theme, thanks very much!

      Best

      Mike

        @mike

I have added the myfonts webkit folder to my server via the ftp. And pasted in the code that is meant to go into the head section of wordpress. Now can I use one of your methods (<link> or <script>) to add the fonts?

Would be great to hear back soon as I am working on the site today.

        Mike

Hey mike! Im glad that you enjoy using the theme :)

Ok with myfonts you download the webfonts right? You will have a folder "MyFontsWebfontsKit" with a subfolder "webfonts". In there are the font files. You just need the .woff file. You can add the webfont by going to "Lay Options" -> "Webfonts" -> "Add Webfont" -> "Add by .woff file". Hope that helps!

            Hi Armin

Thanks for getting back to me. That is what i initially did but they don't seem to preview in the cms or load in the website. The instructions that MyFonts give says the fonts wont work without including the webfontskit css. See: file:///Users/michaelmontgomery/Downloads/MyFontsWebfontsKit%202/StartHere.html

The site I am working on is jasleenkaur.co.uk.

I would really appreciate if you could have a quick look just to check if I am missing something!

            Thanks

            Mike

Hey ok, I tried it too now and for me at first it didn't work either. It's because my font's name was "2E95DE_0_0.woff"

And actually a "font-family" can't start with a number in CSS. So if you rename the file to "myfont.woff" and then add it using "Add by .woff file", it should work.

Please remove your other css you don't need that.

Ah. I wondered about those unhelpful file names! Fantastic thanks so much for your help. And again really great theme! I'm also a fan of your commercial sites, especially fonds-perspektive.de!

Thanks! Yeah Till Wiedeck designed that site, he's really good!
I'm gonna make a little change for the next update so it will work too, when you upload .woff files like "12345.woff" :D

Try this to fix issues before you post:

Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.

                  1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
                  2. Disable all Plugins
                  3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
                  4. Now see if your problem solved itself
                  5. Go here, see if your problem is listed here:
                  Troubleshooting

                  When you post:
                  1. Post a link to where the problem is
                  2. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it

                  Thanks!
