Projects are not displayed in the categories
-
Hello there,
thank you for the great theme. I'm currently stuck with one problem. But I don't have much experience with wordpress either, so maybe it's just not possible the way I thought it would?!
I have assigned my projects to categories and have created a drop-down menu with these categories under my Portfolio- Main Menu. I would like the assigned projects to be displayed in the drop-down categories. Unfortunately, nothing is currently displayed. Did I make a mistake or just misunderstood something and it is not possible at all? Any other ideas? Many thanks for the help!

OK. I kind of managed it myself, using the 'thumbnail grid'. :)
One question anyway: is it also possible to build the layout of the categories on the one of the main menu (portfolio). So that all projects remain visible, but only the projects of the corresponding category can be clicked on and the remaining ones, for example, semi-transparent ?!

Dear @ninaverena
Great to hear you had some success with your question :)
Regarding your secondary question:
I am having trouble sorry imagining exactly what you are describing.1.Have all project thumbnails on the homepage?
- If all projects are visible how would the categories be defined? an area for each category?
sorry, I just wish to understand better so i can provide the right answer :) i might need another explanation :)
Best Wishes

Hello @Richard-Keith!
Thank you for your reply and sorry for my late reply.
my second question was that I was wondering if it is possible to duplicate an entire category of projects?
Thanks for your great help here! -
Dear @ninaverena
It is very easy to duplicate a project :
When duplicating a category would you like to duplicate it on the back end (wordpress side) ? :
Or it only exist once on the back end but you wish to display it twice on the webpage ( frontend )? :
Let me know & best wishes :)
Sincerely

Dear @Richard-Keith
Good question. So - :) It's about the menu item 'Portfolio', under which I have currently arranged all projects in a fairly free layout. Basically the point is that I would like to have a menu with sub-items, and when you select these, only the corresponding projects are displayed (in the same layout as in the general portfolio). So - in the normal portfolio there are portraits and events, for example, and when I then click on Portraits in the menu, only the relevant projects are displayed. Sorry, everything a bit complicated .. Is what I mean halfway understandable? Maybe I think too complicated ...
I just thought - if I can duplicate the general portfolio then I can easily edit the copies accordingly. -
Dear @ninaverena
Ok, i hope i understand :)
Just to be sure we are on the same page -Something like this occurs when you click on the different sub-menu items:
Am im understanding ? :)
Best wishes and have a lovely day
Richard
