Using animation as Site Title in Customizer
-
I tried to use a small animation (MP4) as the site title "image" and it works perfectly in Safari. So using a video instead of text or image can be a feature.
Sadly it is broken in Chrome... Maybe it's easy to fix that "bug" and can be added as a feature.
/Edit: GIF probably works, yes, but I think it will probably have a huge file size and have the usual "pixelated gif-aesthetic" and not be very smooth.

Dear @thomasmaier
Ah cool i see your website now, Nice Cookie bar! :)
Have you had a look into this?
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55217822/mp4-not-playing-in-chrome-or-firefox-but-in-safariCould be a video formatting problem that other browsers don't work so well but changing it may create a solution?
Hope this helps :)
Best
Richard
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
