Automatic Video Playback doesn't stop unless you click twice
-
Hi, we have a problem with our new website www.worksaboutcontact.com
We have several videos on the start page, some are programmed to be played back automatically, some need to be clicked to get started.
There is a bug with the videos played back automatically. If you click on them – in order to stop the playback - only the Playback Button dissolves but the video isn't stopped until the user clicks another time.
We're using the Lay Child Theme 2.9.6. and have testet several browers in the latest versions: Safari, Firefox, Chrome, but the problems shows up everywhere.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance -
Dear @wp_LayNerd
Some first steps if you will before proceeding:
-
Wordpress, Lay Theme & Laytheme's Addons are all up to date ?
-
Any Custom CSS or JS that may interfere is temporarily removed.
-
Any third-party plugins de-activated to see if this resolves the issue.
-
If your WordPress Dashboard shows a warning "PHP Update required"
please update your PHP version in your webhost control panel.
Also within your Console readout - there is an error relating to the common shorthand ($) for jQuery - is this your Custom Code?
"lay Child Theme" have you created a child theme of Lay?
Talk soon & have a wonderful day
Richard
