    Hey,

I integrated a cookies notice on this website https://almayui.de/ using Laytheme but the buttons in the banner aren't working.

Found this in the forum of the plugin:
"The theme generates a jquery error, which breaks the cookie consent jquery. This causes the accept not to work. Your theme developer should be able to help you with that. "

    Plugin is this one:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/complianz-gdpr/

    Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks, Janina

      Dear @Janina

You are correct that the Cookie caused a jQuery error and the Accepted token does not work.
Being a third-party plugin i am unable to go into the Cookie code and spend the time modifying it to work with Lay Theme.

As there a more than one Cookie plugin out there - are you able to try others to see if they function better with Lay Theme? - Knowing from seeing other users websites that they have found cookies that work :)

Sorry that i couldn't be of better help and for any inconvenience caused with trying a different cookie plugin .

      Sincerely
      Richard

Ok, I will try this. It would be good to have a list or something though, maybe in the Laytheme documentation, that points to plugins that are compatible with Laytheme as it is quite frustrating to spend hours researching and trying to make a simple plugin work.

At least for super basic or obligatory functions / plugins like cookies notice, contact forms etc.

It really shouldn't be such a hustle to make simple stuff like this, that pretty much everybody needs at one point, work.

        Thank you
        Janina

          Dear Janina @Janina

          I agree :)
And i think in the future this is a good idea like you have stated, i do apologise for the inconvenience while 'hunting' for correct third party plugins.

I am adding it to the development notes for future Lay Theme discussion.

Good luck with the cookies and have a wonderful day :)

          Richard

I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.

          Before you post:
          1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
          2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
          3. Disable all Plugins
          4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

          When you post:
          1. Post a link to where the problem is
          2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
          3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
