    Hi Armin,

I tried to update my site to the latest lay theme by clicking the update button in wordpress and now my site is completely down with this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_rest_url() in /data/23/4/124/22/4287837/user/4892414/htdocs/wp-content/themes/lay/assets/inc/rest-api/extras.php on line 30

    http://www.daviddiliberto.com

Is there any way to recover or revert back?

    Thanks!
    David

      Hey David!
You need to login to your ftp using filezilla for example. Then you need to go to your wordpress folder. Enter the folder "wp-content" -> "themes". Inside, rename "lay" to "lay2".

Now login to your wordpress and update wordpress. Afterwards in your ftp rename the folder "lay2" to "lay" again.

I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.

        Before you post:
        1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
        2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
        3. Disable all Plugins
        4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

        When you post:
        1. Post a link to where the problem is
        2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
        3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
