Carousel Addon - Different Position of Captions
-
Hi,
I noted recently that the position of the captions of my website carousels was completely off. When I visited the general options it seems that there are more options to choose from, so maybe the issue is with a recent Lay Theme update.
I fixed the position on my Works page as "Below Carousel"
https://www.marcal.net/workBut on my home page, where I used to have the captions "On Top of Carousel", now the captions are also "Below Carousel".
https://www.marcal.net/My question is: how can I set up again different Caption positions on different pages of the same website?
Thank you so much,
-
Dear @Marcal
I didnt know that you could have captions applied differently to different pages. In the Carousel settings they apply across all carousels?
With the Current options setting different Captions placements isnt possible and will have to be done by Custom CSS.
Talk soon :)

Hi Richard,
Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
It's possible to use a Fullscreen Slider for the home page instead of a Carousel; this would explain how to get a similar outcome and different positions of captions, albeit I'm trying to rebuild the home page this way, I don't see any options for the Fullscreen Slider captions position.
The mystery continues... I wish I knew how to edit the CSS to achieve that! Is there any example or information regarding which CSS should I edit? Thank you.

Dear @Marcal
If you are applying the Fullscreen Slider to a Project or Page & are using 'captions' attached to either your Images or Texts (or other element)
You can Target the Caption with for example:
.row-1 .fp-tableCell .caption { // insert desired CSS here ---- }
So, specifiying - 'Its the first row - then within its the fullscreen slide - then its the caption:
With this you can start to change the Caption.
You can look at the HTML structure of your webpage using the 'developer inspect tools':https://laytheme.com/documentation.html#custom-css-styling
Custom CSS can be applied in > Lay Options > Custom CSS & HTML >
Hope this helps @Marcal & best wishes
Richard
