Hosting Expereinces: GoDaddy
-
Hey there Community,
I’m about to start a new site for a small client, who is currently owning domains and managing e-mail adresses via GoDaddy.
I’d prefer to circumvent the pain of moving all her stuff (Domains, Mail accounts) to a new hoster and work with what’s already there.Does anyone have experience how LayTheme works with GoDaddy?
Best wishes!

Haha, thank you @Richard!
I might need to reclaim my title for 2021 👑Here’s my experience for GoDaddy if anyone is interested:
If one would like to have a regular Wordpress to work with and avoid that managed stuff and site builder s••t GoDaddy is usually known for, you would need to order the C-Panel Administration.
Except from an admin area that’s all over the place and very aggressive server-wise caching it works.Nonetheless I would advise to use a simpler solution for webhosting like domainfactory, strato and the like – It’s much more straight forward and often times cheaper that way.
In my case the client didn’t want to move all the domains and mail addresses so staying with GoDaddy was the best option.
