I need help with Polylang

Hello.

Anybody here has experience with Polylang?
I'm completely lost here.

I used WPML before but it never fully worked so now I've switched to Polylang because it's the recommended plugin in the Laytheme documentation. But everything got worse since I switched.

I've already hired a fiverr developer from Bangladesh and he said Laytheme doesn't work with Polylang.
What's going on? Why is it mentioned as the plugin of choice?

Please help.
Preferably somebody who's not living in Bangladesh and speaks good English or even German.

It must be asked as a first step:
Do you have any Custom Code or other Plugins that may interefere with Laytheme & Polylang ?

Are Wordpress, Theme (ver 3.8.5 ) , PHP version and Addons up to date?

: Possible fix - Have you tried checking the "disable AJAX settings within "Lay Options" to see how this effects Polylang

@Richard thank you, I solved it. After years of struggle, the site works in two languages.
Thanks to the workaround mentioned in the forum. But by nature Lay doesn't allow a landing page in two languages. So it should be mentioned in the documentation how to make this work.
