When editing/changing any text, the text will be automatically doubled. Changing text again, trippled, … . Very anoying. Any idea how to stop that?

      Dear @arctictsyle

Are you able to provide more information about your setup? screenshots of your Wordpress back-end also help πŸ”

What Language plugin do you use?

Discussion about Lay Theme & multi language can be read here:

      https://laytheme.com/documentation.html#multilanguage

Could you also make sure of the following while debugging:

Wordpress, Lay Theme & Laytheme's Addons are all up to date ?

Any custom CSS or JS that may interfere is temporarily removed.

Any third-party plugins are de-activated to see if this resolves the issue. ( Still need to see about the language plugin)

      Talk soon @arctictsyle & have a wonderful day 🌝

        Hello,

I would like to ask you about a problem that I have been having with my website. When I want to edit or change a text, the text will be automatically doubled or tippled. Everything is up to a date and here is the website I am referring to.

        https://spaceofspace.cz/en/

        Thank you for your help.

I use Safari as the default website browser.

          Dear @Giacobbe

This could be due to a Language plugin. What third-party plugins are you using?

Here is good reference to Lay Theme and multilanguage:

            Hello Richard,

Thank you for your response. We do indeed use the recommended qTranslate-XT plugin. Would you have an idea what would help to fix this bug? We have not been able to update our website for over a month now.

            Thank you very much.

I have the same issue with a website and the bug appeared at one point. The only workaround which is not great is to copy the text in the textfield and then delete the textfield and create a new one and paste the text back into this textfield. Click "update" and it's not doubled. As soon as you edit an existing textfield this bug appears. You can only edit text by creating new textfields,

                @Richard

                Good morning Richard,

As I have not been able to resolve my problem with the double text the way you suggested, I would like to kindly ask you if there perhaps isn't any any other way how to sort this out? We did pay a licence for the Laytheme and currently I can not use the website (edit or add any new texts) in a way I would like to. This has been going on for over a month now.

                Thank you.

                  Dear @Giacobbe , best wishes 🌻

Could you please send me your Login details via 'Chats' so i can better investigate the Bug occuring πŸ”However i cannot guarantee success. On the Multi-language section of the documentation is written:

We used to recommend qTranslate-XT, but now we tend to recommend Polylang because it tends to work better and is more wide-spread and has better support and is still updated regularly.

Lay Theme cannot be responsible for qTranslate-XT incompatibility moving forwards.

(Note: do not disclose your login info on this thread)
