Search - exclude/hide projects/pages
-
Hey,
I hope you're well ☀️
Apologies if this information is out there already. I haven't been able to find much documentation on the search function and that's why I'm posting here.
I recently added the search function to a site I'm building and I have 2 questions about it - first one is really a precursor.
-
The search seems to only reveal projects and not pages. Is that the correct functionality or have I somehow broken it? It would be awesome if it searched pages as well,
-
Is it possible to exclude/hide specific projects or pages from the search; or maybe hide project categories or tags?
The reason I want to hide some items from search is because I often make portfolios or pitches for a single person to review and don't want them to be found by anyone else.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Sebastian

Dear Sebastian
"The search seems to only reveal projects and not pages"
This is correct, the Search feature only works for Projects, Tags & Categories at the moment.
"It would be awesome if it searched pages as well,"
Totally agree & have added this to the development notes ✅
"Is it possible to exclude/hide specific projects or pages from the search"
Making a page Private removes it from the search but maybe this is not want you meant? If you wanted to get deeper you could use jQuery to find the project you dont want shown and hide it but this might be a bit of work and not want you want either. I think the answer for this is a no currently but as Lay Theme progresses it more features may come.
Sorry for any inconvenience this last point may cause and best wishes Sebastian 🌻
