Order-Reorder-Bug
-
I added a lot of projects to a lay theme website and noticed that the order of projects in a Thumbnail grid can only be edited manually. Which is a lot of work if it's dozens or hundreds.
The problem seems to be that the publish-date doesn't have an effect on the order - but the ID. Since the ID can't be edited and the editable publish-date doesn't have an effect on the order you're stuck.
Maybe it's possible to add a dropdown for either sorting projects by date-published or manually (which defaults to the order of ID no)?
Thanks!

hey thomas, im taking a look at this now, thx for the heads up

ok so i just tested this and it seems that when you create a new project, its thumbnail is always added to the beginning of the project thumbnail grid.
all of the previous thumbnails just keep their order once the order was changed manually.
looking at it like this, i think theres no problem :O
can you confirm this is the behaviour?

Yes! Thanks. But that means that if you want to reverse the order for example, you'd have to drag and drop every element to its new order position right?
-
i will add a reverse button now!

if u update lay theme now there will be a "reverse order" bug
it only works atm if u have changed the order manually before i think :X
