Mp4 video not working on mobile (iPhone/iPad)

Hi All,

For the past days I try to get the following video working on mobile (Safari on a iPhone) without any luck :

Things I tried:

• Almost any video setting combination (auto play on/off, with or without controls, mute/unmute, etc.)
• On desktop it works like a charme. (Safari and Chrome)
• Tried Responsive Design Mode on Safari. There it works. Yet on a iPhone or iPad it self not.
• Deactivated all my plugins.

Hope somebody has idea what it could be.

hey sorry this is taking some time, im in a different country and i need to work on a different project for another week, thats taking up all of my time :O

so i just tried on my own lay theme website and an mp4 video works on my site.
then i used your video file and it doesnt work on the website for ipad.

try this video:

the .mp4 one.
its a sample video.
this one should work.

now it seems maybe there's something wrong with the mp4 file.
i tried converting it using the handbrake app for mac. but that didn't fix the issue.

maybe try and somehow change the video file, like export it in a different way.

if nothing works you could add it as a vimeo or youtube video :/
