Hide Empty Cart
-
Hi everybody,
i've been googling and trying different things, but couldn't get this to work.
Can I hide the cart menu-item when the cart is empty? As with many people, the page i am working on is not mainly a shop, so as long as there is nothing in the cart it does not need to be visible.
This feels like it should be a woocommerce option, but i couldn't find anything useful for this.
Thank you!

hey this is a great idea
with the next update, there will be a html class for the cart menu item that indicates if the cart is empty
so you'll be able to do:
.laycart-empty{ display:none; }

yeee i think the update will be available tomorrow!

@mp any update on this?
Is this implemented already? I don't see the point of forcing this solution over the already existing one that came with the side cart plugin, so confusing.. I don't mind your solution it looks good, but I think the option to hide the cart when it is empty is really essential. It is obvious that there is a need for this feature since Laytheme started as a portfolio website template so quite likely that there are users who want a small scale eshop in combination with a portfolio website.
Hope this can be fixed soon, thank you!

@alasdair17 I am really happy to hear that, thank you very much!

hey @lortnok
its about hiding the menu point, not the cart itself
