Videos in Carousel - white screen and browser errors

Hi, I'm experiencing weird issues with the videos in the carousel, especially when I first try to load the page in a new window. Before the first video starts playing instead of displaying the placeholder image there is a white screen, Then the videos start and stop playing, sometimes with intermittent white flash. Overall it feels quite laggy and like something is not working properly. I spotted the following browser errors in
Chrome:
Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The play() request was interrupted by a call to pause().

I am having a similar issue with my website on Chrome. The video playing works perfectly in Safari but does not show on chrome. Here is a link to the page with the video. The error is the following :

Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The play() request was interrupted by a new load request.

They give this as a reference to fix the error but I am unsure how to implement it.

On my side it turns out that my video was not playing due to being h265 that chrome does not support. The error must be related to something else.
