Html5 Videos don´t play in Full Screen Slider
-
Hey Armin,
I made this simple docu website:
http://mostlyviewedbycows.net
It contains several Images and Html5 Videos.
I want to use the Full Screen Slider.
All videos work when the Full Screen Slider is deactivated.
When It is activated none of the videos play (even if autoplay videos is checked in the FCS Options), neither in Chrome nor in Safari and on mobile it does not show the play button and cannot be played there as well. I tried and searched everything to avoid writing here but nothing made it work.
Hope you can help!
Best PaulPS: It would be an awesome feature in the Full Screen Slider to have an option to set it to a Full Screen Fader that fades or blends the images like Caroussel can do. ;)

Hm ok need to fix that! Thx for ur input.
when u use a video as a background, that video will never show up on a mobile device. instead only the placeholder image of the video will show up. cause its just a background and videos cant autoplay on mobile devices.
You need to add your video by "+video" instead if you want it to show up on your phone.

Ok sorry Armin i have to check back again.
During the process of get the website running a set of new problems emerged.
as i said, i had the old version of the Full Screen Slider installed, everything worked fine, except
once you entered the site through the domain adress mostlyviewedbycows.net it didn´t show the installed web font and just a substitute one. (only through paulbarsch.de/mostlyviewedbycows - where the wordpress is installed - it was visible)
So i refreshed the redirection, this caused the redirection to not work anymore, somehow.
i wrote the provider, they said the problem is not on their side ( Ihr Weiterleitungsziel enthält wahrscheinlich einen Befehl (header-redirect / relocation) der sich nicht mit unserer URL-Hiding-Weiterleitung verträgt.) and insted of an url-hiding redirection i should use the frame-redirection option.
i did.
it worked desktop, but mobile it caused total glitch.
i switched to open-redirection, now it shows the url where the wordpress is installed on (which i want to avoid)
A switch back to frame-redirection does not work anymore at all.
And since then some of the text in mobile is aligned left, although everything is set to be aligned center (in the text format and even if you set the text to aligned right directly in the text field). also after clearing the text formating, using a different format, deleting the row/slide and putting it up again,......
turning the phone, causes a black screen,.... or sometimes shows just a blue screen on arrival.when i disable the full screen slider for phone, then the text is back to aligned center (which is the current state)
if the phone is held horizontal the text size is right if you turn the phone to vertical the text size changes
i guess this all has to do with the add-on, and is maybe related to the old version,
but this redirecting thing, i have no clue whats going on......and how to fix that. -
Ok fullscreenslider addon, could be that you have problems because you are using an old version. I'm gonna work on fixing that bug today.
if the phone is held horizontal the text size is right if you turn the phone to vertical the text size changes
this is a known bug that i need to fix. couldn't find a solution to this one yet.
If you want a different url for your website you need to adapt your database.
"Please watch this video where I explain how to move a Lay Theme website to a different URL. These steps apply if you are moving from one webhost to another or if you are staying on the same webhost and changing URLs."
http://laytheme.com/documentation.html#moving-websiteand:
"Using multiple domain names for the same Lay Theme website
Your website is reachable at "www.mywebsite.com" and you want to use an additional domain name like "www.hey.com". Then you should use a type of redirection where you will see the targetdomain "www.mywebsite.com" in your browser's address bar when you enter "www.hey.com". Otherwise the content of your website won't be loaded cause JavaScript is not allowed to fetch data from another domain." -
Hey you can update your fullscreen slider now and then the background videos should play!

Hey Super, vielen Dank!
Mit der database das versteh ich nicht.
Ich will einfach www.mostlyviewedbycows.net auf www.paulbarsch.de/mostlyviewedbycows
weiterleiten.
Danke
