    Hi Forum,

I would like to add some PDF files but when they are uploaded into the media library they are reformatted and the pdf extension is removed.

Original PDF file: Vincent Gille – Peinture, paysage, poésie.pdf

    Permalink (after upload): http://www.anneslacik.com/vincent-gille-peinture-paysage-poesie/

Any suggestions? (uploading the files by FTP is an option, but not ideal as the files won't be in the media library).

    Thanks,
    Daniel

      Hey Dani!

Ok so when you click on the pdf in the media library, there should be a field called "url" or something like that, which contains the path to the pdf. Can you check there for the correct link please?

        Hi Armin,

This is what shows after uploading the PDF. The extension is removed.
For now I solved the issue by uploading the PDF's by ftp and copying the links.

        Do you have a solution?

hey dani, hm i have never seen this before. Normally this looks different. If you like you can deactivate lay theme and activate a standard theme like twentysixteen and see if there is any difference.
