    Hi Armin,

I have a big problem going on right now... i just wanted to update my website and when i've tried to upload new images, nothing happens; the thumbnail shows a small icon but i can't see the image. I've tried using chrome, safari, different formats (gifs, png, jpg) but nothing. I also contacted to my website host to figure out if my storage is full, but it's not. Please, could you check this out? I have some things that I need to update!

    Thank you!

Hm and do you get any errors?
Can you try to activate another theme like "twentysixteen" and then try to upload an image and see if it works?

Hello, I am experiencing the same problem. I am uploading images via the default dashboard through 1) media and 2) project page "+image" function.

The upload doesn't work and results in an "HTTP Error"
I've contacted my webhost and they say it's not a memory issue. I've also removed any inactive plugins, thinking that could have been an issue (it wasn't).

Do you have any idea what is causing this and if there is a fix. Antonio—were you able to fix this?

I have zero programming experience so any help would be greatly appreciated.

        Thank you in advance

Hm not sure if it has to do with lay theme. You can try to activate another theme and then try to upload an image.
          Maybe this works?

          I just googled: https://www.google.de/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=wordpress+image+upload+HTTP+Error

@preciousstuff Hi! Sorry for the late answer! Yes, the problem is solved! As Armin says, it's not a theme problem; i called my host provider and told them the problem, and it's a folder's permission (don't know exactly what they did, but the problem disappear immediately! So, you have to call your host provider again and tell them to solver the permission problems of your host!

Cheers and again, sorry for the late answer!

I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.

            info@laytheme.com

            Before you post:
            1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
            2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
            3. Disable all Plugins
            4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

            When you post:
            1. Post a link to where the problem is
            2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
            3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
