Hi there,
Wordpress automatically updated on my site before I could update to the latest version of Lay.
Is there any way I can restore my site + layout?thanks,

Hi Katie, you can get your site back by opening the FTP and renaming the lay theme to lay2 then opening your wordpress admin and changing your theme. This will not get you back lay theme as I have found out. Armin, I am using version 1.058, is there anyway to get the theme working again?

Yea you need to delete your "lay" folder in wp-content -> themes. Then install the latest lay theme version. I'm sending you the latest version via email.

Hi Armin, I (or rather my website) fell victim to the Wordpress update as well. I had my site running on an ancient version of Laytheme. Last month I purchased a 3-domain license, which I had not installed prior to the crash. I did as you wrote – erased the lay folder from "themes" and uploaded the .zip file of the latest version. It worked. But of course that leaves me with a "blank" website and all the content from the old site is gone. Is there a way I can exchange/overwrite some of the new files on the Server (.css and whatnot) with some of the old backed up files, in order to get my content and settings back? Or do I need to start from scratch again? Thank you in advance. All the Best, Sebastian

Apologies, I just noticed the content isn’t gone. It’s more CSS and some sort of other options. Since it’s a (almost) text only one-pager I’m gonna tweak stuff till it looks like it used to. I’m gonna save my nagging, bugging and asking a million questions for a future occasion. ;)

Hi Sebastian!
Good to hear the content is not gone. Yes, the database should not be affected.
If you face trouble – let me know!
All the best!
Marius
