Hi there, I run four sites with lay theme and on one (https://www.feldkiosk.de) I didn't update lay theme (last version in FTP-Client is twentynineteen) -_- now I'm unable to login to wp admin for updating lay theme .. is there any other way to update or login wp admin? Would be great to get support. Best Jakob

@kong2111 on chrome it's showing a http 500 error and safari yeah it's just blank. I reckon you should speak to your host and sort the http error, this might be able to get you into the wp-admin :)

@alasdair17 already did that, they told me it's because they updated to php 8 – I guess it's not working together with my older lay theme plugins now .. I already deactivated plugins via FTP ("_lay" instead "lay" etc.) but still no chance to login wp admin .. you maybe have another hint for me?

@kong2111 ah, yeah I see, yeah might be to do with moving onto php8. I would definitely do a backup of all your files just now anyway in the ftp. Are your hosts able to revert you back to php7 and then you could update your plugins and then move back onto php8?

@kong2111 hmm, i'm not too sure. I mean you could back everything up, duplicate the backup and then delete the plugins in the duplicated backup and do a fresh reinstall of wordpress then migrate your wp-content folder over (without the plugins) and then reinstall laytheme and the subsequent plugins which you should then be able to update - that may work but be cautious and make sure everything is backed up just incase!
