Showing products as single elements (not grid)
-
Hello beloved Lay team,
I want to build a webshop for my photo work, and I'm so excited to try out LayTheme for this, but I realized that the products could be viewed only as a symmetric grid.
One of the greatest strengths of LayTheme for me is the ability to lay elements on the grid freely, a-symmetrically, in various sizes and positions!
I wonder if there is some way or workaround to place products as single elements (for example like Project thumbnail)? If not, is this feature planned to be included in one of the near updates?
Thanks in advance,
Sasha -
sure, you can place an image, right click the image, choose "link image" and link it to a product!
sorry for the late response
and also maybe use a caption on that image

@arminunruh
Thank you! Good and simple idea..
But still it’s a workaround in a way, right? it won’t appear automatically with the price and add to cart button, and an option to change image on hover, right? -
yes that is correct
i will write this down, we need a product thumbnail element
-
@arminunruh yes, that would be great! Thanks!

Do you have an ETH for an update that will implement this feature? I have several e-commerce projects in the line, and I’m wondering whether I can wait for the update or not (:

oh ok!
i will try and work on it this week!

@arminunruh exciting!! Thank you so much for being so attentive (as always).
Here is some reference that I have to what I had in mind:
