Project title as thumb, show thumb-image on hover

the only workaround I could find is to set the main thumbnail to a transparent png and set the actual thumb as mouseover thumb, set thumnails to "always show" in customizer and then in custom css have
.thumb .ph {
z-index: 5
}whats annoying about this option is that in the backend project list all project have the same transparent thumbnail which makes finding a specific project based on the thumb a bit annonying, especially with a large number of projects...

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
