CSS grid column values

Hey people, I was wondering, if there is a way to use the css which laythemes generate for the grid to actually have e.g. an svg repeating as a background image, but aligned with the columns?
I managed to get accomplish the grid, but my only struggle is to align it with the css values for the columns from laytheme? maybe someone can propose which values to use for the calc css parameter?

Before you post:
Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.
1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
2. Disable all Plugins
3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
4. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
