      Hey Armin

      I just finish this website http://www.louisacarmona.ch
      but I can't see the site on the google search results.

      It's there any suggestion about SEO optimization within Lay?

      I put the proper meta tags in the misc options, but still no results on indexation...

      Thanks!

        @concigliery Sorry to intervene, very smooth website but it has almost no text on any pages. SEO works with lots of text for search engines to index not just images :/ Plus the Lay theme is more for portfolios, where you tend to use lots of images and give the url in an email, post it on facebook, etc. Don't expect to get to page 1 of google results overnight without more copy in there. Maybe ask Louisa to write a longer story about her and her career on the About page at least, don't you think? My 2 cents...

          Hey!
          Great website! :)
          It can take a while for google to index the site. When you google the name Louisa Carmona, then it should be findable with google soon! Actually when I google Louisa Carmona then your site appears as the third entry for me :+1:

            Yes, thank you both.

            I sent the link to the google console yesterday and today was indexed.

            (yesterday It didn't appear at all in the search)

            Anyways, as an idea, could be cool to have an option in the "text format"
            to name the preset as h1, h2 etc to help the google bot find the proper tags, or important text on the site.
            Or is this already possible by simply naming my text preset "h1"?

            Thanks you Armin for make our life easier :+1: !

              If you create a headline text format in Text Formats, it will have a <h1> tag!

                Hey guys,
                also trying to optimize the theme for google. defined my website title with a text format (created a headline). but there is no option in text formats to define the headline as h1, h2... so the style of the title changed with no problems but it is not defined as h1.

                best wishes

                  Hey guys,
                  I have definitly no experience with code, rather html or css or... So please enjoy with caution.

                  I solved to problem of having no <h1> by changing the line (in the file "frontend.php")

                  <a class="sitetitle txt" data-title="" data-catid="" data-id="1" data-type="category" href="">

                  to

                  <h1>
                  <a class="sitetitle txt" data-title="" data-catid="" data-id="1" data-type="category" href="">
                  </h1>

                  If its total crap, sb. let me now. Just trying to figure things out on my own ;)

                  all the best

                    If you create a headline textformat and use that in a text, that text will be a h1 tag.
                    Yeah, the site title is not a h1 tag. Yeah probably that should be a h1 tag, I will think about that. Your change will be overwritten when you update lay theme ^^. So I don't recommend changing lay theme files.

                      Try this to fix issues before you post:

                      Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.

                      1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
                      2. Disable all Plugins
                      3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
                      4. Now see if your problem solved itself
                      5. Go here, see if your problem is listed here:
                      Troubleshooting

                      When you post:
                      1. Post a link to where the problem is
                      2. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it

                      Thanks!
