Hi all I have been trying to integrate imgix with a lay theme site, however I am having a whooooole lot of trouble. Imgix will work only with thumbnails and features images, but not with normal images placed in project paged - they continue to reference the local files on the server rather than the ones on the Imgix domain.

The issues are leading me to wonder whether there might be a clash between how the Imgix plugin and system works, with Lay theme.

Has anyone else been able too ombine Imgix and Lay with success?

      i havent used imgix before

      try this plugin instead:
      https://wordpress.org/plugins/webp-converter-for-media/

it makes your images webp images so they load faster. it worked really well with lay theme for me

@arminunruh Thanks Armin I will take a look and test that too. Imgix is becoming really widely used, and offers a whole suite of image processing features at scale, so I'm keen to get that working - particularly to meet the needs of clients, rather than relying a plugin approach.

I've been in touch with Imgix tech support, and one comment they have made is that src value inside the image tags are base64 encoded, so Imgix and other similar services may not be able to intercept/recognise these particular images for processing. Not sure if that checks out or not, but I'd love to see if I can get at least get to the bottom of why it's not working.
