Sorting the order of category names

Is there a way to manually change the order that categories names are displayed in? I use categories as project filters (ie, design, art, photography) across the top of a page. I want to be able to make them display in alphabetical order.
I can shuffle their order on the category page in wordpress, but this does not make any impact on the order in which they appear on a page on the front end.

Before you post:
Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.
1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
2. Disable all Plugins
3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
4. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
