overlay-feature not working on chrome/firefox?
-
Hey @arminunruh,
I was pretty happy about finding the new overlay-feature, this is exactly what I missed before! So I immediately removed all the custom code I was using before to have a burger-menu and turned on the overlay. :-)
Unfortunately this only seems to work in Safari! In Chrome or Firefox the overlay is visible all time and destroying the rest of the content this way! (It's the same on my iPhone) :-(
Here's the link to the preview of my website. I know there is some custom code, but the problem won't disappear if i turn off all that custom code! And laytheme is of course up to date…

Hopefully you'll have a solution for this. I'd really love to launch my site soon!
Thanks and best regards!

do you think its possible you are using a very old version of firefox and chrome?
-
ah now i see it
there is some css missing that makes the overlay disappear
can u go to lay options -> custom css & html
then click "turn off custom html & css"
then see if it works
-
also turn off your plugins, except lay theme plugins

Thanks for your fast reply. the problem was the plugin "WP Fastest Cache". I did not deactivate this before, because it is part your tutorial "speeding up your website", sorry…
I will look out for another cache-plugin now. any advice?
Thanks again and best regards!

i think that plugin should maybe still work. maybe you just had to "clear the cache" of the plugin!

right! the option "delete cache and minified css/js" did the job! the plugin is working again. :-)
I don't answer or check forum DMs, please just post on the forum.
Before you post:
Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.
1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
2. Disable all Plugins
3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
4. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
Now see if your problem solved itself.
Go here, see if your problem is listed here:
